Illustration commissioned for Camilla ‘s birth: born to an Italian father and an American mother, she is a cosmopolitan child, as symbolized by the globe-shaped rattle.

Hanging from the carousel over the cradle in fact are symbols of all the adventures and places experienced and visited by the parents: among others, the Cathedral of Reims, the Baptistery of Florence and the Merlion, a statue with a lion’s head and fish body, symbol of Singapore – the next city where the family will move.

Surrounding them is a geometric frame that echoes the pattern of the marble flooring of their home in Florence, Italy’s safe haven.

At lower right is an easter egg recalling the famous stapler in jello from The Office, of which they are big fans, declined in a newborn theme.
